Join the Inclusion 2028 Young Person Collective

· Do you believe all young people should have a say in how PE and school sport is run?
· Do you believe PE and school sport should be inclusive and accessible for all young people?
· Do you want to use your voice to enable other young people to use theirs?

If you are passionate about young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) having a voice and choice about PE and school sport, UK Children’s charity, the Youth Sport Trust (YST), want to hear from you.

We are recruiting a group of young people, aged 14-20 years old who live in England and have a special educational need and/or disability, to share their thoughts and co-create solutions to engage more young people with SEND in PE and school sport.

What will you be doing?

- Co-designing sessions for Inclusion Live 2027 (Inclusion Live is our week of free virtual sessions for adults who want to learn more about making PE and school sport more inclusive for young people with SEND)

- Sharing your ideas and feedback on resources used by teachers and young people.

- Learning more about the power of youth voice and how you can use your voice to influence positive change.


How will the group work?

We are seeking 4 more members to join our Young Person Collective. There will be 5 virtual meetings lasting approximately 1.5 hours each between May 2026 and March 2027 (exact dates and timings to be confirmed). A poll will be sent out to the group to find the most suitable times.


Essential skills and experience for the role
· Good time management skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with others and be a team player
· Good communication skills with an ability to clearly share your ideas and perspectives
· Experience using online communication platforms (Zoom and Microsoft Teams) and taking part in virtual meetings
· Ability to use your imagination to think of creative solutions and ideas
